Skil Ventures is an integrated agribusiness company producing carefully selected horticulture crops and goat meat for export while managing every critical stage of the journey, from field preparation and responsible production to cold-chain handling and airport dispatch.
Agriculture earns its return at the point of delivery. What matters is not what is planted, but what reaches a buyer at specification, on the day it was promised.
Skil Ventures Limited operates two production blocks: leased land along the River Sagana in Kirinyaga County, Kenya, and a Ugandan production block covering the Masaka and Mubende areas. Together they hold 480 hectares under lease, with water access, irrigation infrastructure and road connections to the region's two principal export airports.
The business runs two connected practices. The horticulture practice grows fresh vegetables, herbs and fruit for buyers in the EU, UK and Gulf. The livestock practice is building a Galla x Boer goat herd for halal export to Gulf markets. Both are served by the same cold chain, the same packing discipline and the same export logistics.
Most producers cover one link of that chain. Skil Ventures holds the chain from field to airport — giving a buyer one accountable supplier for the crop, the cold chain and the paperwork.

To become East Africa's most reliable source of certified fresh produce and goat meat for international markets, recognised for dependable volumes, consistent quality, complete traceability and long-term relationships with buyers.
To build integrated, sustainable production and cold chain infrastructure in Kenya and the Masaka and Mubende areas of Uganda — closing the supply gap for certified year-round exports while creating rural employment and lasting value.
Not by hectares planted, but by consignments accepted: the share of what we harvest that reaches a buyer at specification, on time.
| Core Value | What it means in practice |
|---|---|
| Sustainability | Water, soil and pasture are managed as assets the business depends on, not inputs to be spent. |
| Traceability | Every consignment traced to the block it was grown on and the week it was harvested. |
| Community impact | Recruitment, training and supplier spend stay local to the areas we farm. |
| Reliability | Programmes sized to what we can deliver every week of the year, not a single peak season. |
| Compliance | Export certification, halal standards and buyer protocols treated as production requirements. |
| Accountability | We own our commitments on volume, quality and delivery date — including when something goes wrong. |
